Coaches Comments It was a very tough loss. We had many opportunities to put the game away in the first half, but could not convert on 3 opportunities inside their 30 yard line. . A couple of plays had a dramatic effect on the game. The biggest play was a breakdown on special teams, allowing a punt block for a touchdown. I think that play had a tremendous emotional effect on the game. We did move the ball well in the first half, but just could not punch it into the end zone. I was very proud of the fact that our players never gave up. We still had a chance to win in the final minutes, just missing the on side kick recovery. I saw many players make a lot of improvement Friday night. Emmons continues to be an awesome linebacker, recording 18 tackles. Palmer was the leading receiver in the county last week, and had 10 tackles in the game. Robinson stepped up defensively this week and played very well notching 7 tackles. Sophomore Leopoldo is getting better every week, and played a great game with 8 tackles. We are still very much alive for the league title, and a CIF playoff spot.
